Thank you for joining us this year as we celebrated our journey.
Yes, it’s true, 2023 is the Final Season for the Meadery. We started this journey in 2014 when we moved to rural Marshall County to turn a hobby into a business. In 2016 we opened our doors and started meeting all of you. Over the years we have developed friendships that will last long past our Meadery days and we are grateful for each one of you. We have been through a lot the past decade. We have had fun times listening to our favorite musical artists, experimenting with new flavors, hearing your life stories, welcoming RAGBRAI 2018, sitting on the deck, celebrating mead day, playing yard games, collecting pins in our Meadery map, and welcoming our Harvest Host guests from across the Country. We also managed the impacts of a tornado, a derecho or two, the pandemic, changes in health, and most recently baseball sized hail (you will probably see the effects of that this summer). Through it all we have continued to value the time we got to spend with you while sharing a glass of mead.
We realize our recent announcement came as a shock to most of you and we wanted to let you all know prior to the start of the season so that we can appreciate the time we have together sharing stories and making more memories. This year has brought changes to Michelle’s career and we are recognizing the importance of slowing down a little. We look forward to having a little more flexibility and spending time on the other side of the bar with friends.
Cheers to Summer!
Cheers to You, our Friend!
